EIFL through KLISC supports Amref in establishing an Institutional Repository

One of the activities Amref has been engaged in for the last over 60 years is research. The outputs of the research have not been well documented and disseminated to the would be beneficiaries. This defeats the purpose of the research initiatives. It is from the foregoing gap, that AMIU library sought support from Electronic Information for Libraries (EIFL) through Kenya Libraries and Information Services Consortium (whom AMIU is a member) for the establishment of an institutional repository. The support was granted and Amref Institutional Repository was developed and established, available at https://repository.amref.org/ and registered with the international directory of open repositories (OpenDoar) at https://v2.sherpa.ac.uk/id/repository/10205. The repository archives all Amref research outputs and other local content publications thus providing visibility to the organization as well as to the individual researchers since it is publicly available and accessible.
